The short version

CleanEx does not collect anything about you. There is no account, no sign-up, and no backend. Your photos and videos never leave your phone.

What we collect

Nothing.

CleanEx has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party data collection. We do not know who you are, we cannot see your photos, and we have no server that stores anything about you.

Your photos and videos

CleanEx asks for access to your photo library so it can find duplicates, screenshots and large files you may want to delete. That access is used entirely on your device, through Apple’s own PhotoKit and Vision frameworks.

• Your photos and videos are never uploaded, copied off the device, or transmitted anywhere.
• Nothing is deleted unless you choose to delete it.
• Anything you delete goes to Recently Deleted in Apple’s Photos app, where it stays for 30 days and can be recovered. CleanEx cannot remove it from there — that is under your control in the Photos app.

If you play a video that Apple’s iCloud Photos has moved off your device to save space, iOS fetches it from your own iCloud account so it can play. That is between your phone and Apple. CleanEx is not involved and receives no copy.

The only network connection

CleanEx checks whether a software update is available when it starts. That check sends the app version and the device platform (iOS) and nothing else — no personal information, no photo data, no identifying details about you.

That is the only network request the app makes. There is nothing else to send, because nothing about you is collected in the first place.

Storage permissions

CleanEx reads how much total and free space your device has, so it can show you how full your phone is. This is a device-level figure. It is displayed on screen and never transmitted.

Children

CleanEx is a storage utility with no social features, no user content sharing, and no data collection. It is suitable for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect meaningful changes.
